MORE INFORMATION
Naturopathic medicine is a rapidly growing field of medicine. Currently requirements are an undergraduate degree, followed by a four-year training at a recognized naturopathic medical school. This program involves two years of Basic and Clinical Sciences, one year of Clerkship and Allopathic (conventional) Therapeutics, and a one year internship at selected hospitals and clinics.

Naturopathic Physicians can continue into board certified specialties through residency training. Licensing privileges vary according to province/state and country of practice. Naturopathic physicians may also use a variety of scheduled drugs as well as herbs, vitamins and homeopathics depending on the jurisdiction in which they are licensed.
